Caring for Your Senior Dog

As dogs get older their needs change. They are not the playful and energetic puppy that they used to be. Not that they don’t play at all, but just like most everyone else they tend to slow down a bit. A few things to consider for your aging dog. As they age, you might want to consider getting them a nicer bed to sleep on like this brunswick stripe bed. Make sure that it is soft enough to ease joint aches, and that it is easy to get in and out of. Fetch toys might be something that they cannot handle anymore, as well. If that is the case then consider staying with some good old fashioned dog chew toys. However, of your senior dog is still very active, then fetch toys are no problem. You just have to judge the overall health of your dog. Another thing you can do is make sure to keep them on all natural healthy supplements. For a great vitamin and mineral supplement, I don’t know of a better product for your senior dog than daily best senior. You also want to make sure that you feed them a healthy diet as well.

Make sure that you keep them well groomed, as it promotes good health as well.
